Monday, August 12, 2013: Leading lighting player Surya Roshni targets a revenue of Rs 2.5 billion from LED segment by 2016. Observing the potential LED lighting market in India and the increasing demand, the company aims to expand its LED lighting business and will come up with a strategy to achieve the target by by 2016.
According to Surya Roshni managing director B Raju, the higher sales in LED lighting division is partly due to the new products being launched in the LED lighting segment. The company will also add in its product portfolio LED bulb for 5W & 7W, which will the first LED bulb in India conforming the new LED Indian standard. This lamp will bring all the advantages of LED lights such as long life, free of mercury and substantial energy savings.
