Mid-power LEDs
In April 2013, SemiLEDs launched two mid-power UV package products to add to its expanding UV package products portfolio–the P50N-UT 0.5W UV package, and the P50N-US 0.2W UV package. These are compact, low-profile and high-performance LEDs suitable for a wide array of UV applications. They are designed to give maximum thermal and optical performance, and are reflow solderable under the standard SMT process. The P50N-UT 0.5W UV package has a maximum DC forward current (mA) of 180 mA and the P50N-US 0.2W UV package has 60 mA. Their LED junction temperature is 125°C and operating temperature is 40°C to 110°C.

LED drivers
In April 2013, GlacialPower launched two new LED drivers for constant voltage LED lights – the GP-LE036N and GP-LE060N–that are available in both 12V DC and 24V DC options. Having an output voltage of either 12V DC or 24V DC, the GP-LE036N LED drivers deliver up to 36 W and the GP-LE060N LED drivers deliver up to 60 W of power to the LED. Both drivers have been designed for LED light bars, soft strips and DC lamps in places such as bars, restaurants, exhibitions or shows. The drivers have a power conversion efficiency rate of up to 85 per cent, which makes them highly energy-efficient. Further, with the highly compact dimensions of 110 x 35 x 25 mm for the GP-LE036N and 163 x 45 x 33 mm for the GP-LE060N (LxWxH), these drivers make LED lighting installations easier. These specifications, combined with cost-effective pricing, make the drivers excellent options for constant voltage LED lighting needs.

Waterproof LED drivers
In April 2013, Phihong launched a new series of waterproof LED drivers for use in a broad range of residential and commercial applications. The PDA040 series of drivers are available in constant-current outputs of 700, 1050 and 1400 mA at a nominal input voltage rating of 120 to 277V AC.
The PDA040 series is Class 2 per UL1310 and also complies with UL8750 and UL60950. Standard features on the drivers include over-voltage protection, over-current protection, short-circuit protection, brownout and brownout recovery. Additionally, the power supplies have power factor correction greater than 0.9 and a total harmonic distortion of less than 20 per cent.

LED streetlight
In April 2013, Olive Exports Pvt Ltd launched the SLOL 10-20 LED streetlight. The light is well equipped with Osram LEDs, lens, toughened glass and all stainless steel accessories to give it the shape of a rocket. The product is manufactured in the 9 W to 35 W range. It has a working volt range of 90-270 V, a frequency range of 47-55 Hz, and lumens output of >1300, >1900, >2600 for 6, 9 and 12 LEDs, respectively.

10W PowerLED emergency light
In March 2013, Binay Opto Electronics launched the Binay portable 10 W PowerLED emergency/work flood light, which is a rechargeable compact lighting solution with its own 12V DC battery pack. Its key features include 1000 lumens of white light, which provides excellent illumination with good brightness, ideal for working in confined areas, a battery life of 5-6 hours; an in-built charging circuit for charging from 230V AC mains power, over-charging cut-off and deep discharge cut-off to prevent damage to the battery, and a maintenance-free sealed lead acid battery with a one year performance warranty. The light module can be dismounted from the battery pack, as it has its own cable which is 1-2 m long.
