Thursday, June 06, 2013: So much is being done and said about the renewable energy mission that has been making news in the country. In the latest, NTPC has awarded a 5 MW project to Eversun Energy, an Indian EPC. The project includes PV installations in Faridabad, Haryana and the net worth is estimated to be INR 34.68.
Haryana, with all its solar projects combined, is currently producing 7.8 MW while more 6.5 MW facilities are under construction, some are being carried out in partnership with private investors. However, according to a recent report by The Hindu, there is a red tape impeded on the growing private sectors.
According to Rajeev Kumar, the organiser of the Renewable Energy Forum, the time allotted for implementation of solar projects is too less but it does take quite a substantial duration for everything to fall in place. The forums organized by Kumar has been a common platform for both policymakers and private investors. He also added that land acquisition is also a major issue in the scheme of things and the recent steps will be huge ones to deal with the stage-one hiccups.
In another good news for the country, JinkoSolar is done with its 5 MW project in Ghespur in the state of Gujarat. The duration for the project was just 58 days. JinkoSolar had installed 17,886 polycrystalline modules and is being helped by Sunkon energy. The final capacity of the project will be 8.030 MWh of electricity every year.
