Rohde & Schwarz concluded its seminar on their latest generation of signal and spectrum analysers at Hotel Hyatt, Bengaluru. The seminar had previously been conducted at Hyderabad, on the 28 May. Presented by Herbert Schmitt, Product Specialist for Spectrum Analysis based in HQs at Munich, the sessions started at 10.00 AM and concluded in the evening at 4 PM.
The sessions started with an overview of the product portfolio of their Spectrum & Signal Analyser Family, which was presented by Nasser Jariwala – Head Business Development. The highlights of the Signal and Spectrum Analyser Model R&S FSW were also highlighted.
Herbert Schmitt held a technical session ‘Complex Radar Waveform analysis’, which included a demonstration of chirp analysis on pulsed radar.
Later in the day, they discussed distortion analysis for state-of-the-art amplifier design using distortion analysis software FS-K130PC, followed by a session on why to use high IF and the advantageous wide unambiguous range.
The R&S FSW is touted to be the most advanced signal and spectrum analyser for the aerospace & defence, and the telecom verticals addressed to meet the most demanding R&D conditions. It can analyse oscillators and synthesisers with a phase noise of -137dBc (1Hz), measure frequency-hopping and chirp signals with a IQ bandwidth of up to 160MHz, and enables faster spotting of spurious signals on its large touchscreen.
