Saturday, June 01, 2013: One of the global manufactures of AC drives, Vacon is now all set up to produce solar inverters for India. The factory had already been inaugurated in 2011 and the final operations for assembly of the inverters were carried out this April at its Bengaluru facility.
These solar inverters that would soon be available for domestic usage is based on the company’s revolutionary AC drive technology. Rated between 10 kW and 1,200 kW, these cabinet installed systems seek its main market in India with the recent pace of solar missions and projects. The Bengalore-based facility for Vacon produces solar inverter ranging from 10 to 200 kW and 1000 kW.
According to Jari Marjo, the product marketing director for Vacon, the potential for their products in the Indian market is huge. While the national solar power projects and missions have acquired fast pace, people are opening up to the alternate form of energy. With expanded production in India, the company will be able to provide optimum rates and timely solutions. In addition, it will also help the government meet the rising local demands.
With inverters being launched for domestic and industrial usage, solar power will be available to homes and factories and the stringent problems of power cuts will be better dealt with.
The Finnish company has its production and research facilities established in countries like Europe North America and Asia with its sales offices in 29 countries. Apart from this, the company operates in 90 countries through service partners and sales representatives.
