Friday, May 24, 2013: Anritsu Company announces its MS2720T Spectrum Master™ handheld spectrum analyzer with option 709 (frequency coverage from 9 kHz to 9 GHz) has been self-certified by Anritsu to comply with the National Radio Systems Committee (NRSE) requirements for conducting AM and FM broadcast measurements. The certification verifies that the MS2720T is capable of conducting AM and FM broadcast-proofing measurements, and gives field engineers and technicians greater confidence that their measurements are in compliance.
The MS2720T Spectrum Master is the only handheld spectrum analyzer that has the necessary phase noise and dynamic range to conduct highly accurate broadcast-proofing measurements. Dynamic range is > 106 dB in 1 Hz RBW, DANL is -163 dBm in 1 Hz RBW, and phase noise is -112 dBm @ 10 kHz offset at 1 GHz.
Field engineers and technicians can make critical broadcast-proofing tests with the MS2720T Spectrum Master. AM/FM measurements that can be made with the handheld spectrum analyzer include broadcast transmission, IBOC, RF harmonics, noise sideband, and field strength. To simplify field measurements, Anritsu has incorporated an advanced 8.4-inch touchscreen user interface into the MS2720T Spectrum Master. Users can add shortcut buttons for any menu button or file, making it possible for a setup file to be recalled with a single press of the touchscreen.
Software for the MS2720T allows measurements to be quickly and simply downloaded to a PC. This capability allows reports to be generated and printed to comply with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing regulations. It also permits measurements to be stored for station record keeping.
