EPL India has announced its association with the new Terminal T3 at Indira Gandhi Airport, New Delhi. It is the eighth largest terminal in the world, and boasts of being able to handle a capacity of 34 million passengers in an area of 495,000 sq m or 5.5 million sq ft. T3 has 95 immigration counters and 78 aerobridges. Besides, it has 28 sets of Solpower solar water heating systems, something most major airport terminals in the world cannot boast of. Solpower-Urja Pak provides the solar water heating systems for the hot water requirements at the terminal. A combination of unglazed solar collectors on the roof and Solahart storage tanks as heat exchangers with drain down systems makes Terminal T3 one of the few eco friendly airports in the world.
