Offered in compact half-brick format (2.4 x 2.28 x 0.5 inch) and housed in a five-sided shielded aluminium metal case, PEAK Electronics announces the new isolated PO60HB series of 60W DC-DC converters.
The latest DC-DC converters offer a variety of features including a wide 4:1 input voltage range of 9V to 36V or 18V to 72V, multiple output voltages of 5V, 12V and 24V, efficiency between 82 per cent and 86 per cent (typical), depending on the converter type, and an ambient operating temperature range of -55C to +95C with derating.
Additionally, the converters feature remote on/off control, output short-circuit protection (hiccup and auto recovery), output over-voltage protection (clamp mode) and over-temperature protection. The input/output isolation is 1500VDC.
Important applications of the device include battery-powered equipment, measurement equipment, telecommunication system, wireless network, industrial control system and industrial control equipment, says the company.
