The Aryan Solar fest, which was held earlier this week, concluded on Thursday. The fest saw more than 2000 students and villagers of the area participating who got the practical knowledge about the means and uses of solar energy.
We had reported about the fest, which saw more than 15 companies participating and individuals displayed their projects. There were also some government agencies who had put the stalls. Punjab Energy Development Agencies (PEDA) was one of promoters of the event. Many products including solar lights, Solar Pumps, Solar Invertors, Solar Lanterns, Solar Charge controller, etc. were displayed.
Many Indian companies, which included the likes of Alpex Export Pvt Ltd., Intersolar System, Manik Solar Innovation, Radha Solar Energy Cell, Solar age India, Solar Sales Society, Sudarshan Saur, Synergy solar, etc. participated in the festival and showcased their products.
Dr Anshu Kataria, chairman, Aryans College of Engineering said the purpose of festival was to make the students aware of the scope and use of solar energy and renewable resources of energy.
He added that as oil prices spike, people are looking for alternative energy sources to save their power consumption and also trying to work on reducing their overall expenses.
