Tata Power has launched new EV charging stations in Azamgarh and additional cities, enhancing electric vehicle connectivity throughout Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Tata Power, a leading integrated power company in India known for its electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has unveiled a new EV charging station in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. This development is part of a broader effort to improve EV connectivity throughout Eastern UP, linking key cities, including Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur, and establishing a travel corridor from Ballia to Lucknow to enhance accessibility for EV owners.
The infrastructure rollout features a 30kW charger at Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia, serving as the network’s initial point, with another 30kW charger positioned at the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh to support journeys spanning 130 kilometers. The route also includes a 30kW charger at Motel Nh56 in Sultanpur, and a more powerful 60kW fast charger at Shalimar Corporate Park in Lucknow.
This strategic initiative not only connects Eastern to Western UP but also supports Tata Power’s commitment to foster India’s shift towards electric mobility by developing a widespread and accessible EV charging infrastructure. The company is focused on filling the existing infrastructure gaps and addressing the rising demand for electric vehicles by placing charging stations at key locations, including hotels, highways, malls, car dealerships, and office complexes.
Additionally, Tata Power’s expansive EZ Charge network boasts over 100,000 home charger installations and more than 5,500 charging points across various sectors, covering more than 550 cities and towns nationwide. The network also includes over 1,100 bus charging points and operates in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Jammu.
