Eyeing to elevate manufacturing, finance, retail, telecom, and autonomous vehicles, TCS joins forces with NVIDIA to enhance AI adoption among their wide range of customers.
On Thursday, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced its collaboration with American chip giant NVIDIA to develop industry-specific artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to accelerate customer adoption of AI. This initiative will operate under TCS’s new AI.Cloud business unit, which is building on over five years of partnership.
According to a recent TCS finding, enterprises face challenges in forming cohesive AI adoption strategies globally. Addressing this issue, the new unit will create tailored AI strategies, using TCS’s global R&D centres and NVIDIA’s AI platform, including computing and software solutions like NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints.
The key offerings of this collaboration include several solutions across various industries. Firstly, TCS Manufacturing AI for Industrials will transform manufacturing data into actionable insights using industry-specific large language models (LLMs). TCS AI Spectrum for banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) will enable decision-making and compliance in financial institutions through AI.
Apart from that, TCS Cognitive Visual Receiving will automate retail warehousing processes, improving accuracy and efficiency. TCS AI-Native Telco Offerings will provide customised models for telecom needs, such as network management and customer experience. Finally, the TCS AI-based Autonomous Vehicle Platform accelerates the development of autonomous vehicle technologies using generative AI and simulation tools.
“Curated AI journeys are derived at the intersection of deep-domain and deep-tech. This is a space that TCS has excelled at during every business transformation cycle. Our unique vantage point, at the intersection of business and technology, helps us identify the right opportunities for our customers,” said Siva Ganesan, Head, AI.Cloud Unit, TCS.
He noted that with the efficient NVIDIA AI platform and their extensive experience in delivering value, customers now have a way to achieve quicker value realisation.
Furthermore, TCS is developing solutions for digital manufacturing on the NVIDIA Omniverse platform for heavy industries like autonomous vehicles, aerospace, and agricultural equipment.
John Fanelli, Vice President, of Enterprise Software, NVIDIA, said, “Factories, warehouses and robotics are the next grounds for physical AI innovation at scale. Combining cutting-edge AI and simulation capabilities can unlock unprecedented potential for intelligent manufacturing operations for TCS clients.”
