Aiming to revolutionise solar energy production across multiple Indian states, SolarfiX India has joined hands with Japan’s Kanemasa to establish a 10 GW solar module capacity by the end of this decade.
On Friday, SolarfiX India, a domestic solar power solution provider, announced a partnership with Japan-based company Kanemasa, aiming to develop a solar module manufacturing capacity of 10 GW in India by 2030.
This ambitious initiative will be implemented in phases across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan.
Kanemasa will serve as the technology partner for this project, providing expertise and advanced solutions to facilitate the development of solar energy in India. The formal agreement was signed during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2024, organised by Informa Markets in India, a platform for showcasing innovations in the renewable energy sector.
Anket Kapoor, the CEO and Co-founder of SolarfiX, emphasised the importance of this collaboration in reaching the 10 GW target.
He highlighted the SolarfiX SRA, an innovative solar tracking system that leverages Japanese technology to keep solar panels optimally aligned with the sun. This state-of-the-art system can enhance energy production by over 120% compared to traditional fixed solar installations, making it a game-changer for efficiency. Furthermore, it is also compact and designed for easy installation, as Kapoor stated.
The three-day expo features over 800 exhibitors from India and major global renewable energy markets, including participants from the Middle East. Industry leaders and government officials will discuss the challenges facing the renewable energy sector and explore effective solutions for future growth.
