Ola Electric plans to open 10,000 outlets by 2025 to expand into smaller cities and towns with low EV penetration, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 areas. It launched a network partner program, has onboarded 625 partners, and aims for 1,000 before the festive season.
Ola Electric announced on Thursday its plan to establish 10,000 sales and service outlets across India by the end of 2025, aiming to extend its reach into smaller cities and towns. The electric two-wheeler manufacturer has initiated a network partner program designed to advance the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, particularly in areas where EV penetration remains low.
As part of this initiative, the company has already onboarded 625 partners to expand its sales footprint nationwide. It plans to increase this number to 1,000 partners before the upcoming festive season this year. Aggressively pursuing expansion, Ola Electric aims to have a total of 10,000 partners across sales and service by the end of 2025.
This strategy is expected to give the company a competitive edge in the market. Currently, Ola Electric operates nearly 800 company-owned stores. With the implementation of the network partner program, the number of sales and service touchpoints is projected to reach approximately 1,800 ahead of the festive season.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, stated that the company’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) model has been highly effective in driving sustainable business growth. He noted that the network partner program will further enhance the benefits of the D2C network, as it requires minimal capital investment from partners and can be rapidly scaled. While company-owned stores will continue to serve as the core of the sales and service network, the program is expected to significantly expand the EV footprint in both urban and rural markets.
Aggarwal emphasised that the company will continue to invest in expanding its front-end network to accelerate EV adoption, aiming to have 10,000 network partners across the country by the end of next year.
