Aiming to enhance safety standards in automotive vehicles, ZF LIFETEC has expanded into a new research and development facility in Hyderabad.
Last week, automotive industry player ZF LIFETEC inaugurated its global capability centre in Hyderabad, India, for research and development (R&D), engineering collaboration, and customer service.
This expansion, focusing on advanced passive safety technology, is part of ZF LIFETEC’s subsidiary from the ZF Group, which will be finalised by the end of this month. The centre aims to enhance safety standards and deliver value to customers locally and globally.
Akash Passey, President of ZF Group India, highlighted that with over 200 employees and its growing engineering division, the centre is expected to boost safety technology efforts and foster collaborations with industry leaders worldwide.
Looking at India’s rising automotive market, Rudolf Stark, Executive Vice President, ZF LIFETEC, commented, “The inauguration strengthens our global development footprint. Customer proximity is vital for our growth. At the same time, we can serve global engineering needs out of India very quickly and competitively.”
Ravikumar Tirumukulu, Executive Director, ZF LIFETEC India, further commented, “With a focus on technology development for passive safety, we are not only enhancing our technical expertise but also fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing across borders.”
ZF LIFETEC serves a wide range of global OEMs and emphasises quality and R&D partnerships. This positioning makes it a key supplier for major vehicle manufacturers, as the company claims.
