This strategic initiative split into two phases, marks a significant step in strengthening Kerala’s EV infrastructure, supporting the rising demand for electric vehicles.
Servotech Power Systems Ltd., a prominent EV charger manufacturer in India, has been awarded a contract by the Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) under the Department of Power, Government of Kerala, to install 12 electric vehicles (EV) charging stations. The contract mandates Servotech to supply, commission, and construct these stations, featuring 30KW Fast DC EV Chargers, across various locations of the Kerala Motor Vehicle Department.
The project has commenced and is structured in two phases: the first phase involves the installation of four EV charging stations, and the second phase includes eight stations. This development is part of Kerala’s ongoing efforts to enhance its EV charging infrastructure, which is critical as the demand for electric vehicles and the need for accessible charging options increase.
Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Power Systems Ltd., commented on the initiative, emphasizing the company’s commitment to advancing India’s transition to green transportation, starting with this project in Kerala. Bhatia highlighted the importance of reliable charging infrastructure to support the growing EV market and outlined the company’s plans to expand these efforts to other states.
