Exicom Buys Tritium, Expands Global EV Charging Presence

Exicom’s purchase of Tritium’s business and assets enhances its international footprint in the fast-expanding electric vehicle charging sector.

Exicom, claiming itself as India’s premier Electric Vehicle (EV) charger manufacturer, has disclosed that its subsidiary, Exicom Power Solutions B.V. Netherlands, along with its step-down subsidiaries, has finalized an agreement to acquire the business and assets of the Tritium group of companies, a prominent global pioneer in DC Fast Chargers based in Australia.

Tritium, a globally acclaimed brand in the industry, boasts a track record of over 13,000 DC Fast Chargers sold across 47 countries. Established in 2001, Tritium designs and manufactures proprietary hardware and software that produce sophisticated and dependable liquid-cooled DC Fast Chargers for electric vehicles. Notably, Tritium’s chargers are crafted to combine aesthetic appeal with robustness, suited for challenging environments, and engineered to simplify the installation, ownership, and operation processes.

This strategic move by Exicom is aimed at fostering significant long-term growth and generating value for its stakeholders. With the acquisition, Exicom will incorporate Tritium’s manufacturing site in Tennessee, USA, and a top-tier engineering centre in Brisbane, Australia, bolstering its presence in Asia. This expansion enhances Exicom’s global footprint and strengthens its dedication to research and development, thereby propelling innovation within the burgeoning industry. The diverse product lines of Exicom and Tritium will cater to various applications worldwide, advancing the adoption of EV infrastructure.
