Neuron Energy, a key player in manufacturing lithium-ion batteries tailored for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, has entered into a significant strategic partnership with Hexall Motors. This alliance represents a key advancement in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, heralding the launch of Hexall Motors’ latest product offering.
Hexall Motors has recently introduced an innovative vehicle in the L5 category, distinguished by its dual front wheel configuration. This unique design, which holds a patent and has received approval from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), is poised to set a new benchmark in the marketplace, as per the company’s announcement. As an integral part of this collaboration, over the next year starting from June 2024, Neuron Energy is set to provide Hexall Motors with 1,000 bespoke battery packs.
The partnership is projected to generate a substantial annual revenue of Rs 20 crore for Neuron Energy. These battery packs, designed to charge quickly at 16 KWR and cater specifically to light commercial vehicles (LCVs), are customized to align with the specialized needs of Hexall Motors’ new vehicle to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
Pratik Kamdar, CEO and Co-Founder of Neuron Energy shared his excitement about the partnership, expressing that they are looking forward to working with Hexall Motors on this innovative project. He mentioned that their advanced battery technology will provide the crucial power and reliability for Hexall’s groundbreaking double front wheel EVs, supporting their goal to transform urban mobility. This partnership is set to foster growth and expansion for Neuron Energy while underscoring its dedication to enhancing the capabilities of the electric vehicle industry.
Devesh Parekh, Co-Founder of Hexall Motors, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, pointing out that robust energy storage systems and battery packs are critical since they constitute nearly half the cost of electric vehicles and are essential for performance. He noted that their vehicles feature unique and innovative designs that necessitate specially tailored battery packs equipped with advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS), rapid charging capabilities, and extended range to meet their operational needs. In Neuron Energy’s battery packs, Hexall Motors found a partner that not only understood their technological requirements but also created a product that perfectly met these needs, making this partnership crucial for their strategic goals.
Hexall Motors’ new model, soon to be launched in the Delhi NCR region, offers substantial cargo capacity, making it an ideal choice for last-mile delivery services, especially those transporting electronic items and bulky cargo. With a container depth of 8.5 feet, it ranks among the largest in its class. The innovative double front wheel design further enhances vehicle stability, offering a safer and more reliable means of urban transport.
