The solutions will facilitate rapid charging of vehicles on GB/T Bharat platforms using CCS2 chargers.

In a significant move towards advancing electric vehicle (EV) charging technology, Servotech Power Systems Ltd. has partnered with Electra EV. The collaboration has resulted in the creation of a EV charger technology, for which patents have recently been filed.

This innovative technology enables fast DC charging of vehicles operating on the GB/T Bharat DC 001 standard (sub 200V DC platforms) through the CCS2 charging network, by incorporating a connector with a compact additional gadget. The development was driven by the company’s commitment to meeting the needs of their OEM and fleet customers, offering a solution that ensures seamless charging compatibility and eliminates the necessity for costly dual infrastructure deployment. The technology is poised to benefit a wide range of vehicles, including both passenger and commercial vehicles that rely on the GB/T Bharat DC 001 protocol.

This collaboration brings together exceptional technological expertise and a commitment to innovation. The joint ownership of these patents will accelerate the development of the next-generation EV charging ecosystem that benefits businesses and consumers alike.”

Echoing the sentiment, Samir Yajnik, CEO of Electra EV, remarked, “Electra EV is delighted to announce the collaboration with Servotech Power Systems, which is working towards reimagining the EV charging landscape with solutions that are fit for purpose. This breakthrough technology aligns perfectly with Electra EV’s mission to pioneer the transition to electric vehicles. We see incredible potential for solutions from this collaboration in progressing India’s EV growth journey.”

The partnership marks a crucial milestone in the evolution of the EV industry, not only in India but also in other countries adopting the GB/T Bharat DC 001 standard. By simplifying charging infrastructure and reducing costs, this collaboration paves the way for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, furthering the global shift towards sustainable transportation.
