Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) has announced a tender. This tender is for 1.5 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar PV power projects in India.
The selected bidders have to make projects on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. SECI shall enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders.
Power procured by SECI from these projects has been provisioned to be sold to the different buying entities of India. A single developer can bid for a cumulative contracted capacity of 50 MW to 750 MW in multiples of 10 MW.
Potential bidders with existing or ongoing solar PV projects possessing unallocated capacity can participate in this Request for Proposal. These participants stand to gain an extended Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) term based on the period spanning from the actual power supply commencement date to the scheduled supply commencement date, as outlined in the tender document.
