Cutting-Edge Semiconductor Devices Lab Unveiled at Top Engineering Institutions
Mitsubishi Electric India, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is taking a proactive step to enhance practical learning and knowledge about semiconductor devices. In line with its CSR strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the company has launched a philanthropic project to support the establishment of state-of-the-art semiconductor device labs at leading technical institutions across India.
In the initial phase, educational materials and advanced training methods were provided to two institutions. Now, in the second phase, Mitsubishi Electric has equipped three prestigious institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru, and Institute of Technology, NIRMA University in Ahmedabad, with educational kits and equipment. This literary technical project aims to benefit approximately 700 students, enabling them to gain practical knowledge of semiconductor devices.
The educational materials supplied by Mitsubishi Electric’s Semiconductor & Devices department include IGBT Modules, Silicon Carbide Modules, Intelligent Power Modules, and more. By partnering with these esteemed institutions, the company aims to foster technological upliftment in India and contribute to the CSR initiative of educating the youth about the advancements in the semiconductor industry.
During the inauguration of the Power Semiconductor devices set up at the labs of these institutions, Mr. Hitesh Bhardwaj, General Manager of the Semiconductor and Devices division at Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the growing demand for practical learning in the field. He expressed his delight at collaborating with these influential engineering and technology institutions and emphasized the company’s commitment to uplifting education methods and empowering the younger generation.
