TMEIC India Partners With IIT-Kanpur For Research & Development In Power Electronics Solutions

TMEIC Industrial Systems India Private Limited, a Group company of Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation announced that the company signed a Research and Development Agreement with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. The collaboration will focus on research and development of products featuring advanced technologies in the field of Power Electronics.

Current partnership is in line with TMEIC India’s commitment to deliver greater value to customers through continuous technological innovations. The agreement will focus on leveraging the expertise of both organizations to create innovative and sustainable solutions for the power industry.

Mr. Hemant Joshi, Managing Director of TMEIC India, signed the agreement on behalf of the company in presence of Professor A. R. Harish, Dean of Research and Development, IIT Kanpur in a function held at IIT Kanpur on March 27, 2023. Mr. Sreekanth Menoth, Program Manager of Product Development and Mr. Ananda Sai Veluganti, Technology Executive from TMEIC India along with Dr. Suvendu Samanta, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Dr. Gururaj Mirle Vishwanath, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering joined the signing event.

Under the terms of the agreement, TMEIC India and IIT Kanpur will work together to research, develop and test new power electronics products that meet the growing demand for efficient and environment-friendly energy solutions. The collaboration will bring together the research capabilities and resources of IIT Kanpur and the industry expertise of TMEIC India to develop cutting-edge products that will benefit both the industry and the environment.
